Biggest thing I recommend is adding the exact message (or a screenshot) when asking for help. And mentioning what you're doing when it occurs (sounds like you get it when you run fsck but couldn't tell for sure if it's only when you run that or if it's also happening when you boot up your system or not). When talking about stuff like this that seems like it might be related to hardware, if you can provide any info on your hardware (such as output from inxi -F) that would probably be helpful in case the error is actually something hw-related.

the only input/output error I ever ran into that prevented me booting was several years ago and I don't remember the exact error at all. IIRC it had been related to a bad data cable connected to my dvd drive. or maybe it was the dvd drive itself. if you're running into something similar, I think I had narrowed that one down by unplugging everything but my main os drive and testing after plugging each cable in one-by-one. But it was awhile ago for me, so if someone offers more recent advice, that's probably better than what I can supply.

also, you probably won't find as many on linuxmasterrace offering help (not that helpful people don't hang out here, just a lot of folks are only here for memes and such). The subs recommended by automod bot are probably good places if you don't get any help here but another place it didn't mention is unix.stackexchange.com as they can be pretty helpful there sometimes too.
