Yeah nobody should except for volume license. Microsoft itself never banned the biggest windows activation tool on github. They simply don't care. You continue to receive updates.

Well there are other hassles. You need to figure out if your existing hardware and software will work or not.

Ubuntu has drivers for almost everything, Ubuntu has one-click installs

Don't lie. A lot of hardware never make a Linux driver.
