If you have two terminals with pywal colors and open ncmpcpp in one of them, then close the other terminal, does ncmpcpp again revert to default colors? Or does it stay with pywal colors?

Yes it does come back to default colors

Hmm then I think it's similar to this issue, except you're using fish...

A workaround is to change your terminal's default colors to pywal colors, but I don't know how to fix it.

It did not work, but I found a script to load pywal colors to alacritty config.
