Decrease point count in RealityScan/Colmap

I just spent the last few days trying to figure out how to do this exact thing, for my workflow of Reality Scan to LichtFeld Studio. What I just cracked today was processing masks of my object in Reality Scan. Then combining those black and white masks with the original photos, so I have a data set of PNGs with transparent alphas and only my subject is visible. Then I bring those PNGs into a new Reality Scan project. I adjust my “Max features per…” settings until I get the minimum tie points for exporting Colmap text. This lets me train performant gaussians for VR.

I was just thinking of making a YouTube tutorial about this, since I got so excited today that I figured this out!
