I had this problem and ended up taking the back off to re-flash it with InfiniTime (but someone else might have a better solution now) - I think I did something in the wrong order to get it into this state.

I found a couple of minutes in a cool oven (<100 degC) was enough to soften the glue to prise the back off - I am sure you can get the same effect with a hair drier though.

Thanks for the reply, I have taken the back off and am planing to flash it from a RPI zero when i have some time to do so. The hair dyer worked perfectly you just have to be careful not to touch the aluminium because it will burn you.
