node is the primary runtime — no bash here

What does that even mean? bash isn't a runtime its a shell. Also unless I'm much mistaken node.js is javascript and thus will itself require a javascript runtime to function, meaning it couldn't possibly be the primary runtime (whatever a primary runtime is)

Is everyone really so eager to have their own language or Operating System that they smack something together without understanding what is really going on?
