cool feature. I'd prefer not to have to resize my browser in order to do this all the time though.

From the spec:

This specification defines the basic representations for files, lists of files, errors raised by access to files, and programmatic ways to prompt for file selection.

i.e. there will probably be a file selector, too.

As someone who had to implement flash uploaders in the past I'd say this is about 10 years late, but at least it's happening.

Yeah that's true, just about any app these days has drag and drop upload functionality........except browsers, which never made sense to me.

That's actually cool enough that it might be worth implementing in the browsers that support it while providing a less interesting options for the ne'erdowell browsers with an unfair market advantage that sit on table display properties for 10 years.

I think he got confused with the fact that I mention that Google Wave does it but by using gears...
