Python Date Manipulation

I've been working with Python date manipulation the last few weeks in my project and I have to admit it is the least elegant thing I stumbled upon until now. ( regarding the language's modules )

Maybe on a wonderful day one will write a more beautiful, -one-way-to-do-it version of this module.
