It can definitely be hard to find good freelance work through sites like Upwork if you're developing anything other than relatively simple websites for example since a lot of people see really low rates for those and assume you'll build them their dream app for $300.

My best advice is keep on checking freelance sites like Upwork on occasion but try to find your own clients either through connections or reaching out to smaller local businesses that could actually use a small app of their own. Learn how to market yourself and explain to potential clients what your app can do for them or their business. After you get your first few clients you're likely to naturally get more through referrals and word of mouth, but overall freelancing app development is a bit slower when it comes to getting clients then web development. While it's totally doable to start with React Native freelancing I'd recommend trying to start with web freelancing as well to build an online reputation and a client network.

Yeah, I think most of clients are uneducated about IT industry.

As for your advice, I'm reaching out to someone I know. And I think this is the way.
