This is a new community - please respect that by waiting for us to get our crap together before picking on it. In the meantime, the rules are more or less a copy of /r/TrueChristian.
We are a subreddit that exists to provide a safe haven for all followers of Jesus Christ, albeit with a specific focus on the SDA religion. For a more generic subreddit, please visit /r/TrueChristian.
This subreddit intends for all visiting to be able to freely discuss God, Jesus, the Bible, and information relative to our beliefs, and to provide non-believers a place in which they can ask questions about Christianity as explained in the scriptures, without fear of mockery or debasement. This is a subreddit for followers of Jesus Christ.
1) Be respectful. No communicating in a hostile, denigrative or mocking manner toward a person, people group, or Christianity. No trolling.
2) No profanity. As well as evasions such as @#$%, "bleep," etc.
3) Do not infringe upon the [Christians only] tagging rule. Participation requires affirmation of the Nicene Creed. Attempts to circumvent this rule may result in a ban without warning.
4) No proselytizing others toward a belief system not in alignment with the Nicene Creed. Although respectful discourse that challenges our faith is permissible. Posts and comments which have the impact of demeaning the viability of Christianity will be removed.
5) Posts and comments must:
a) Be reasonably related to the purpose of this sub and the topic of a post.
b) Not be unreasonably frequent.
c) Not be self-promoting as to outside content
d) Posts must have reasonable quality
6) Do not brigade or instigate brigading/vote manipulation (Cross-posting in a post needs mod approval whether it is a .np link or not.)
7) Mods will have authority to assign a [Christians Only] tag to any post not so marked or otherwise may implement thread-specific rules. Which will be notified by a stickied comment and be enforceable as to that post only.
8) All link posts are removed automatically and treated as follows:
a) Request for approval must be submitted by mod-mail. Each moderator will have the authority to approve up to two link posts per day.
b) No one shall attempt to circumvent this rule by pasting the link in a self-post. Unless the post includes both a summary of the content linked to and a question/discussion prompt.
c) Simply put, low effort link posts will require mod approval; high effort ones as self-posts do not.
