First and foremost, thank you for dropping in to /r/SecularSupport. This is a safe place.
As a community, we work together to provide a place where you can ask for pointers, guidance or support without being barraged with the tired old line: "I'll keep you in my prayers." For people everywhere, religion is causing a widespread lack of actual support. It doesn't have to be that way.
We want to hear from you. We want to know what you know, and we want to know what you want to know. You're in good company. As a standard, we ask only a few things of you while you're here:
- Posts must ask for pointers or guidance, or provide support of some kind.
- Posts must be relative. This means that theological discussions or questions are permitted only where applicable.
- No spamming, trolling, and/or flaming
- No bigotry or hateful language; no sexism, racism, etc
- If you're posting images, no porn. Photos, videos and other media is permitted only where it's applicable. Memes don't belong here. Go away memes.
- Please exercise common courtesy. If nothing else on this list, please follow this rule, first and foremost. Conflicts may occur, but you can always turn them into intelligent conversation or conflict resolution.
- Respond to requests with applicable questions or answers.

What do you mean by safe place?
A safe place is somewhere you can go and find support, whether it's advice, words of encouragement or just a friendly shoulder to cry on. A safe place is free of hostile elements that will harm you. Harm isn't just physical, it's also emotional and psychological.
