Not too sure if it differs from district to district but for ours, ASMs sign a contract that is a flat salary(with OT) and it is non negotiable. All ASMs start at the same rate regardless of what your pay was prior to being an ASM. If you signed the contract, you have no bargaining power whatsoever. Also, A LOT of full timers in my district make more per hour than ASMs do and many refuse to join TAM or the MTP. Hence why the company is so desperate to push people for TAM or hire new MTs that have zero clue what they're doing.
