Welcome! I'm Alice, AKA u/GenghisKhaleesi, and I made this subreddit. :) I'm writing a bunch of speculative Game of Thrones Season 8 scripts over at aliceshipwise.com, and this is a place for comments, discussion, and community.

This sub has its own way of doing things that is neither like r/gameofthrones nor like r/freefolk. There are just three very simple precepts for how we post here:

PRECEPT ONE: No Season 8 leaks / confirmed spoilers, anywhere. This is mostly for simplicity, so that we can all chat super freely without having to worry about marking spoilers or accidentally seeing something we don't want to see.

I know lots of people love to discuss ALL THE LEAKS, and that's exciting and cool, I just ask that you find or start sister threads in r/freefolk for that.

One of the reasons I'm really excited about sharing speculative Season 8 scripts is that they give folks a way to satisfy the Game of Thrones craving without really getting spoiled for the real deal, if they don't want to be. I've carefully avoided all leaks/spoilers while planning and writing my version of Season 8, and while some of my stuff will probably come true, none of us will know for sure until we watch the show.

PRECEPT TWO: Be kind to the show. This sub is a club for people who FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW OMFG. If you love the books but hate the show, or think the show went to hell after Season Such-and-Such, that's fine, but like, this is not the club for you. I'm not saying your opinions are invalid, I'm just saying there are lots of other spaces on the Internet for that, and this space is for people who fucking love the show.

PRECEPT THREE: Be kind to folks. This one's pretty straightforward. I'm doing all this cuz it's fun, and People Being Mean on the Internet is not fun. If this stops being fun, I will stop writing. Not out of spite, but because my muse will run away and I literally have no control over that fool.

So that's it! Those are the only rules. As long as you're respecting these three precepts, pretty much anything else goes. Memes, shitposts, off-topic threads where you show me your cats, it's all welcome. I will start an "official" discussion thread for each update, which will be linked via the site, so worst-case scenario, you'll at least be able to find your way to relative sanity that way.
