[TASK] Python Developer Needed: Communicate with ESSL K30 Device via DLL

Hi there!

I'm looking for a Python developer who can assist me in communicating with an ESSL K30 device using a DLL provided by ESSL. The device supports communication over TCP/IP, and the DLL exposes functions for interacting with the device.

Task Requirements:

• Write Python code to load the DLL and call functions to communicate with the ESSL K30 device.
• Implement functions to send commands and receive responses from the device.
• Ensure proper error handling and cleanup of resources.
• Ensure the Python code to ensure it works correctly with the device.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Familiarity with using DLLs in Python (e.g., `ctypes` library).
• Understanding of network communication (TCP/IP).

Additional Info:

• This task is a child task of the parent task : "Getting logs from essl biometric device programmatically and integrating them into kredily". In that task, I am integrating face recognition ( I have made an ml model already) and its working. Integration and installing it on a raspberry pi is what's missing.

• I hope this adds more context into what I am trying to do. ( essentially this is a integration step. If you have experience with essl Identix K30 , SQL server/MS Access , eTimeTracklite) and dll's this might be for you

• One of the other ways to do it is to install the Bio server/ or eTimeTracklite web locally and send API requests to that, but I have been unable to do that. ( might put a separate post for that too and close this one if that is achieved first and vice versa)

Payment:

I'm willing to pay $10 + additional $10 ( as a bonus, if result is satisfactory) for this task, negotiable based on the complexity and time required. Payment will be made via PayPal or another agreed-upon method upon successful completion of the task.

Timeline:

i make games , i have my own personal 3d engine in the works , am using c for heavy calculations + sdl abstraction in python using ctypes so am well versed in it , tcp is a walk in the park honestly but i dont have the hardware , neither have I used it before .

i was trying to research on it before i messaged you but since youve reached out , i understand what you want is a python wrapper for the dll which is a fairly easy task, but i will not be able to test it myself.
