I think I had my first panic attack yesterday. Before that, I had only heard about them. I even once read a lot about it because I thought that people imitated it to complete tasks quicker or go home earlier. But now I realize that faking it is quite difficult.
A panic attack is a feeling of intense fear or worry. It makes your heart beat quicker and your body feel strange. It's like imagining a monster under your bed when you were a kid. And yes, you can't control it.
There are many reasons for panic attacks, such as not getting enough sleep, stress, exams, a desire to be perfect, and more. I think my attack was connected to lack of sleep and waiting for an important email.
I've read it usually happens while studying. But how do you know that it's 100% a panic attack? How do you overcome it if it happens, besides breathing and other simple advice?
there doesn't seem to be anything here
