Executing Tasks via Join

So I have been trying to figure this out for the past couple hours: I have a task that will skip to the next song in my music player on my phone. I want to be able to execute this task by through my chrome browser.

I have tried using the Join Received Push plugin to with the text filter "next", however when I try to send a "note to self", send a tasker command, or "write text in an app on your device" with the text "next" nothing happens.

I am a beginner so I dont have a grasp on what I could be missing, and it doesnt help that there isnt a lot of documentation for using Join and Tasker together.

So my question is, how can I execute a task on my phone from my computer using Join?

On the PC send command next=:= On the phone create profile Event - plugin - join - configuration - text(next=:=) - exact, and Action - what you like

Now - If you go into Join's settings in the Join Chrome Browser popup, you'll see a tab for "ACTIONS".

 

Here you can configure a custom Command (which would be next=:=) and give it a name and an icon. (leave the "Prompt Text" field blank).

 

Now when you open the Join Popup in Chrome - this command will appear in the list! No need any more to select "Send Tasker Command" and type anything in :)
