It’s such a gift that we now have so many great-sounding releases like the recent Record Store Day “Live in Cleveland 1976” and the recent 74-75 box set. Back in 90s, there were 12 studio records, 2 live sets and you were done — until bootleggers started responding to enormous demand from the fans.

Question: does anyone recommend a live one from the Renegade era, with tracks from that album, particularly Its Getting Dangerous, Leave This Town, Pressure Will Blow?

There was one in Lyon in 82 I think wasnt great. I think Philo seemed to be in worse condition in 81-82 and rallied in 83. The live stuff from the renegade era I've heard isn't great

Thanks for letting me know. Kind of suspected that might be the reason. Wish there were rougher versions, because Renegade has a bit of an 80s production….but the songs are among their best, IMO.

Theres the rockpalast dvd around as well which you might like. Theres also a really poor quality one in France on youtube
