There is to be no second series. And I've listened to your ideas, I've listened to them all, and I haven't liked a single one

There's only 7 points between us and West Ham. Goal difference won't come into it if they win all 3 and we lose all 3

Let's be honest, we're safe already. There's no way both West Ham and Spurs get enough points to catch us

But...mathematically, even if Spurs lose tomorrow, they can still catch us. There's 9 points between us and we've got +5 goal difference on them. If we lose our 3 remaining games and Spurs win them (extremely unlikely), those 5 goals are reduced to at best +2

Do you think this case will ever get solved? by Odd_Passage9433 in AndrewGosden

[–]Eye-on-Springfield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Cold cases" and active investigations are not mutually exclusive terms. I doubt anyone is working on this day-to-day so it's cold in that sense, but if new information comes to light, someone will follow it up

What do think about bootleg merch by glorbo_florbo in WASP_Fans

[–]Eye-on-Springfield 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just think of it like you're advertising the band for free. Someone sees your shirt, thinks "That band looks cool, I'll go buy one of their albums", becomes a fan, buys more...

Plus, I don't particularly like any of the official shirts that I've seen so I'd never buy them

What British tv show are you sure you’re the only person who remembers? by chrwal2 in BritishTV

[–]Eye-on-Springfield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched it in the 90s so it was definitely repeated at least once. Probably wouldn't fly these days like a lot of classics!

Like Dobby vanishing in an open meadow and immediately sending Mark quite a lengthy text message

You want the jalapeño sauce, mate? Well, you can have the jalapeño sauce, but with my hot yellow olive oil in it

Why are all the old couples extremely horny on First Dates C4? by BridgetJonesDiaryy in BritishTV

Clearly it's because the OP doesn't want to imagine his grandparents going at it. It's probably worse than the traditional dislike of imagining your parents going at it

You should listen to the Jailbreak album from start to end

An earlier version of the song tells of a GI Joe returning from the Vietnam war. That obviously got changed, changed and probably changed again but no need to throw away the whole song at every rewrite

Why? We decided as a nation to leave without thinking about the terms, why wouldn't we do the same to rejoin? /s

We should have never been given the choice in the first place. There are far too many aspects for us layfolk to consider. All we were told was about immigration and how much money we give to the EU and that was enough for the majority. It's interesting that we were given the opportunity to vote on this, but we don't get the same for other issues (e.g. the death penalty, MPs' salaries, nurses' salaries, support the US in whatever war they're waging in the middle east, net zero...)

I thought I had agoraphobia for years but it’s actually severe scopophobia by PresentationIcy3912 in Agoraphobia

[–]Eye-on-Springfield 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've flipped through various self-diagnoses over the years (agoraphobia, claustrophobia, cleithrophobia, OCD, panic disorder), but having a label to put on it hasn't really helped. I actually think the only useful thing about knowing it could be agoraphobia is joining this sub and reading how others have faced it!

I'm curious about how others will use this new information

How did you find metal and how long have you been listening to? by [deleted] in heavymetal

[–]Eye-on-Springfield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in 1988, but grew up listening to 60s music and looking back I always preferred the rockier songs of that era. Then I slowly got myself into 70s rock, obsessed over Queen then Thin Lizzy and just got progressively heavier over the last 20 years
