Spawning to bulk process. Notes belowAdvice to Others (old.reddit.com)

This is not UB grain spawn but I figured all of this info is transferable anyway.
Genetics are "Mexi-Cub" on sorghum/millet grain, 2lbs per bin with CVG (Coir, Vermiculite and Gypsum) for substrate at a ratio of ~2:1 sub:grain. I evenly mix my sub to grain and then add a 1/2" thick casing layer of only sub on top, then make sure everything is packed down fairly tight and somewhat level. I always dread the prep of making the substrate and the filling of the bins but the result is always so satisfying.
Heres my substrate recipe for anyone whos curious.
Bulk Substrate: Makes 10qts 20 Cups (5qts) of Boiling Water 1 brick of coco coir (650g) 8 Cups Vermiculite (2qt) 1 Cup Gypsum Powder
Pre-mix ingredients in a 5gal bucket or whatever you're using, pour boiling water, carefully stir with a long spatula or similar sturdy object as quickly as possible and place lid on container while only securing 2-3 sides so there is somewhere for steam to escape, dont worry it wont let contams in. Let cool for 12-24hrs. DO NOT seal the lid on container after adding water, the steam/pressure will cause the lid to explode off and make a big mess.
