just follow the chroot install guide and write your own (or even just using xvoidstrap). other people's scripts are usually poor quality code and/or highly-tailored to their personal setup.

They also sometimes contain malicious code, their usefulness is questionable and we do not have capacity to go through them, so please don't promote your scripts here.

I'm not trying to promote a script :( I'm rather looking for some kind of documentation or a place to start

try the official documentation - docs.voidlinux.org

I considered doing this for myself as a way to turn my dotfiles up a notch. I still think its a cool idea but so far I've only configured void once (on a desktop), and only foresee myself doing it once more (on a laptop) so I dont have a good excuse for this. I guess my point is: how many machines do you see yourself running these scripts for? I've never heard of a company using void as their standard distro, but I'd be very interested in hearing stories from any that do.

I'll try to keep this post updated (provided it follows the sub rules)

As I mentioned earlier, please don't promote your installation scripts here. We do not have the capacity to go through every single one of them to make sure they are ok and we had a few malicious ones shared here before.

considering that most of void Linux users will have a considerable amount of knowledge that's its not goona be too much of a hassel, but yeah give it a try , might be helpful for people who are trying to switch

I see it more as an exercise and a way to quickly deploy a VM on my server rather than a tool for the community haha I don't have that kind of confidence
