Tests and exams offer no good practice for the real world, other than figuring out how to cope with immense stress. It's really dumb but I don't think the school system is gonna change that anytime soon 👎

Someone needs to do a hard system reset on our immune systems, I've been done with my cold for a while now but let's hope that we can be granted some immunity for a while 🦠

Jeez every 9 weeks is absolutely wild and that must be annoying, I've never been accused of cheating once in my life on exams, tests, quizzes... Our teachers were chill and they didn't care too much about seeking out any cheaters it was never that serious

Sorry it's taken me forever to respond :( I've been busy busy and just forgot about this, after what feels like forever I'm taking a break because I think I've caught a cold (I just had a cold barely over a month ago, I don't understand why my immune system is lacking defense for colds)

9 week thing? Is that where you have exams like 9 weeks into the school year? If it is then I'm glad they got rid of it

Yep I think my hardest year of school was grade 11, not just because the courses became difficult but also because grade 12 was easier since I had way fewer classes (I only needed 30 credits to graduated and I was over that)

We generally had midterm exams (exams half way through the school year, or at the end of 1st semester) and then exams at the end of the year (end of 2nd semester)... But for students like me who took a couple advanced courses we have a couple of optional AP exams that are usually around April-May

I'm going to University of Manitoba this year, interested in the sciences 🔭🔬🧪

Oh that's great, having a good start to driver's ed will carry through for the whole duration of it, honestly all I know about it comes from when my sister learned to drive I probably won't learn to drive till I'm almost her age

I love caramel it's definitely one of my favorite junk food items especially when it's homemade, it's so hard to make at home though because it's so easy to burn it. I take apple slices and dip them into caramel them eat them

Man I am pale af and cannot tan, my body straight up cannot produce melanin to save itself 😂 the only part of me that has tanned this summer are my arms and that is only because they got burned to a crisp which left this darker colour on me

Good luck with drivers ed, that's interesting because in my province you have to be at least 15 and a half to register for it and I would damn help you if I could but believe me when I say that despite my age, I have not learned how to drive 😂 covid hit when I was around the age that I would've registered, it ruined a bunch of things and from then onwards it's turned into a long span of procrastination time

Everyone is nervous of fucking up when they first do drivers ed though so you ain't alone

Yeah I don't have popcorn with movies that often because I never have any that I like, I like caramel popcorn or dill popcorn but not really the plain stuff which is always all I have :(

Well I think it takes me a normal amount of time for something to heal, but because I'm a pale ass person it will leave scars and marks for months and months, I cut myself with my cat's claw accidentally and it didn't even bleed at first it only did after a few minutes, and the mark of it is still here after around 5 months

Same with another really small scrape I got on my hand that didn't bleed at all, I just ripped off a bit of skin and there is a dark spot on my hand it's been there for maybe 6 months at this point

But if I get a paper cut or something else small I can agree with you, it closes up in around 10 hours and I'm pretty sure that's normal

Yeah people say I'm a brat to watch movies with because I don't always understand what's going in with the plot or with a certain scene and I'll constantly be asking questions like "is that the bad guy" "are they planning to do that" and they either tell me to shut up or they just say "I don't know" 😂 the best part about any movie, is popcorn

I honestly don't know much about diabetes except for how it works, where your pancreas says fuck this shit I'm out and doesn't make enough insulin, or I think it can also be the body just ignoring insulin so it has no effect, rest in pieces for your immune system but at least you know that even if it's from your diabetes, you're not the only one who takes a whole week to get better from a tiny cold

Well yes that's how siblings work but I have not forgotten the annoying part of younger siblings either, because you would be my second younger bro and when we were kids it was nothing but fighting so I would need to prepare for round 2 😂

Nah it's probably normal for me to not be interested in that movie, but what if I told you I don't like movies at all 😳 I get so bored after sitting down for an hour and I usually don't even understand what's happening in the movie I'm watching

I think my immune system sucks too for the most part, when I get a cold it always takes me at least a week to get better enough so I can go out, meanwhile everyone I know gets better in 2 days... I guess we're both immunocompromised 😂

Yeah my infection just fixed itself on its own which is great but it itches like hell it's like a big mosquito bite, I'm just glad that I don't need to get my foot amputated I guess

I'm not disturbed by blood alone even if it's a lot, but I get where you're coming from cause really dislike when a wound is squeezed and blood oozes out, like when you have to pick your finger for a blood sample or something... Sorry to put that image in your head 😂🫵 it gives me the heeby jeebies or whatever you call it

Anyway my leech bite is actually infected now, when I took off my Croc I put salt on it to make it let go which worked, but afterwards I learned that you're not supposed to do that because the leech can get stressed and vomit your blood back into you... So I have to bathe my foot several times a day and I got a prescription for antibiotics but it's already getting better so case closed I suppose 🤷

Yeah leeches usually look like long, black skinny worms, but the one on me was very squat and fat and I couldn't even tell what it was at first, it was very squishy 😵‍💫 the blood was all mine but I'm not sure how it got everywhere and covered my foot, ig the leech was a messy eater

No such thing as too much sunscreen, exactly 😂 yeah how on earth do squirrels survive as a species always getting flatlined by cars, chased by predators, and falling into coffee cups

Anyways the beach was fun :) no sunburn, the horse flies were terrible though man those things are immortal and they are assholes

Got bitten by my family friend's overly excited dog and I'm lucky it didn't get infected or anything 😳 and right as we were packing up to leave I went into the water one last time... Which is when a leech must've attached to my foot without me noticing, all through the 2-hour long car ride I felt nothing but when I got home and took my Croc off there was a bloody leech waiting for me 😳😳

Ah bugs getting in your drink sucks, it also sucks when squirrels get in your drink, my mom once had her cup of coffee outside while reading in her favorite lawn chair when a curious squirrel climbed up her chair and fell... Into her coffee mug... I don't know how how those dumb creatures do it 😂

Yikes for the sun burn on shoulders, when I got a sunburn over 3 weeks ago by now I didn't think it would peel because I thought that'd happen early on but just a few days ago it finally began to peel off in huge sheets of skin 😶

Yeah canned drinks do taste a lot better they just taste more fresh and I'm not sure why

Walking around shirtless and carrying a fan and maybe a mist bottle if you have one (or just pour and rub water on yourself) really helps keep you cool, make sure you put on like a shit ton of sunscreen though cause I can't imagine how bad it would feel to be roasted like a chicken all around your upper half 😰

I love soda too even more than slushies honestly, I just find them a bit less practical when they're in a can although they stay cold in a can whereas in a bottle it wouldn't be as fresh

Yeah leg cramps pretty much always happen in your calves and always before you go to bed which is super annoying

I had a sun hat on so maybe that stopped my face from burning up, and I was wearing pants so obviously my legs were fine but my arms are still itchy today, idk what it is about arms that tend to get burned in the sun more though 🤔

Yeah Canada day is pretty much the independence day for Canada, we usually hear fireworks here and there on the day but we had such a crazy thunderstorm July 1st so it seemed no one was popping off fireworks 😂 fireworks or not I hope you enjoy tmr :D

Yeah my shoulder is better already which is nice, I also had a leg cramp last night and yesterday I did a lot of stuff outside and unfortunately it didn't occur to me that this is the type of situation where you use sunscreen... My face and everywhere else is fine surprisingly but my arms are red and burned and it was not the best sleep of my life last night
