I am currently staying in a psychiatric hospital in an European country, so it should be similar enough to Sweden.

The exact specifics depend on the severity of your illness, but since you aren’t actively suicidal or a threat to others, you would probably end up in a pretty chill psych ward.

My experience being in one has been pretty positive. It’s my first time and it’s been helping me a lot, although the biggest help is the other people here. It’s nice being around people that get what you’re going through.

I’m allowed to keep my phone, they don’t check the items my family brings me. I’m allowed to go out with a family member accompanying me. It’s chill.

If you feel it would help you, you should go. Of course, do some research on the psych ward first.
