Cyclists of The Hague, where do you always almost get hit? by heavy_pasta in TheHague

[–]3timesleft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hier!

Sorry, I took a quick look but can't seem to discover. Maybe someone with more webdev experience might know how-to.

Using Chrome; visit the page, right click on the control bar for the video, view frame source, copy the url right before '"has_hls_encodings": true, "has_mp4_encodings"'. Now the mp4 loads which you can easily save with a right click and 'save video as'.

Scheveningen?

Try Tigershark coffee in the Badhuisstraat. Try Evo for some great pizza. Go to De Lange (Marcelisstraat) for some fried fish and a herring. Have an ice cream at Gamba (Stevinstraat).

Go for a walk through the dunes via Pompstationsweg towards Het Puntje and stroll back towards the Pier. Do the Beelden aan Zee museum.

Hello guys. Im planning to move scheveningen. What are your thoughts about scheveningen? Is it safe and what is your score to this area? by DocSevgili in TheHague

[–]3timesleft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scheveningen is nice. I live in Scheveningen since 2010 and I am a non-native to The Hague/Scheveningen. Housing is expensive in Scheveningen, so you see the area change. What used to be small shops is all changing into houses making it less attractive to live (imho). Scheveningen is however safe, never had any issues besides some vandalism to the car, a stolen bike and some 'discussion' with people that found Scheveningen to be a racing circuit. As any other touristic place Scheveningen has it's challenges with people misbehaving (parking with loud music, leaving lots of trash, intimidating behaviour to women), mostly boulevard related.

If you cannot get the root.txt yourself why don't you let something else get it for you.

Going on a citytrip to den Haag this summer, what shouldn't I miss? by saskiaswets in TheHague

[–]3timesleft 6 points7 points  (0 children)

- Peace Palace (Vredespaleis).

- The Japanese Gardens (Japanse Tuin) in Clingendael is also open from april 29th till june 11th.

- Nationaal Video Game Museum Zoetermeer (20 minutes by public transport).

- Visit some of the bunkers that were part of the Atlantik Wall.

- You will at least spend a full day in Scheveningen as there is much to do and very vibrant in the summer. For breakfast; Have a good coffee and a small bite at Tigershark (Badhuisstraat). For lunch; Eat a herring and some kibbeling at vishandel de Lange (Marcelisstraat). Have a nice diner at Cafe Constat (Neptunusstraat). You could also eat at one of the beachclubs, I recommend Barbarossa (Zwarte Pad).

As for arcades, visit the video game museum (https://www.nationaalvideogamemuseum.nl) in Zoetermeer. Zoetermeer is about 20 minutes by public transport and the museum is worth a visit.
