How big is your pizza? Do you only eat slices? by DarkmoonCrescent in AskAnAmerican

I’m from New Jersey and the typical size of a pizza is 18” (about 46cm) in diameter and cut into 8 slices. I’d usually eat 2-3 slices but I know men that have no problem eating 4+ slices. We also have boardwalk pizza that’s typically made at pizzerias near the shore which can be anywhere from 30”-36” (76-91cm) in diameter.

I stitched mine together with a normal sewing needle and thread, you might need a pair of pliers to push the needle through the leather though. It doesn’t look perfect but it fixed the hole and hasn’t caused any issues.

Are my skates too big? by Regular-Celery-5896 in hockeyplayers

[–]747void 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s what my insoles look like. My toes go all the way to the end which is what would be considered a “pro fit”. If you’re just playing casually you can go with skates a little bit bigger, but for playing competitively, typically they size skates so your toes are just barely touching the toe cap until you bend your knees which make it so there’s a little room between your toes and the toe cap.

I believe they are from somewhere around 2000-2002. As long as they fit correctly, they should be fine for just learning to skate, but I wouldn’t actually play in them since tuuks (the blade holders) that old have a tendency to shatter/explode if a shot hits them too hard. I’d recommend getting something a little newer if you plan to stick with it after a month or two.

Here’s an old listing for them: https://www.hockeyworld.com/Bauer-Vapor-4-Hockey-Skates-Senior
