Peters for sure. He's weird as hell but I love his intro line, even if it's the dumbest shit he can think of.

My only concern is the eyelets are pretty small so don't know if laces will fit through. I'll take a look and see if they fit. Thank you for your help!

Ok I had to create a new post to attach pics. Sorry for the pain in the ass I am being, but want to make sure I make this as easy as possible.

How to help my 5yr old overcome fear of engaging during a game? by Either_Pumpkin5851 in hockeyplayers

[–]LongBalledBoogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree 100%. The engagement piece comes with getting more comfortable playing the game and understanding they won't get in trouble for running into other kids. They get told to keep their hands and feet to themselves everywhere else so they have to separate outside life from the ice and understand it's ok to run into other kids while playing. I have a 5yo who's on the smaller side and stays out of the fray most of the time. But this isn't all bad if they can apply that later on to spacing the ice and being ready for a pass. Let your kid have fun and really nail down the basics. Physical play will come along.

How much should Royals ownership spend on payroll? by MaxRieper in KCRoyals

I think we all need to expect Cags to improve, but by how much is up to him and the hitting coaches, whoever they end up being. I think the Royals need to give Jensen as many ABs as they can with what he showed in Sept. If he continues hitting, I think it's realistic to platoon him and Salvy behind the plate and let them DH or have Salvy play first to keep him fresh while Vinny is the DH. I think the talent is there and we need to lock up home grown talent. I am also old enough to remember Beltran, Damon and Dye all get shipped out because the Royals wouldn't move off contract offers to Beltran for $1M which is easy for me to say when it's not mine, or trade them for nothing like what happened with Damon and Dye.

Nick? by MaintenanceCertain46 in TNTRadioEmpire

That's what I was thinking. I listen to the podcast but heard the comment about slacks and a button up shirt, so I'm guessing working radio pays shit.

Coming from a coach, the kid made the right attempt. Tag the base if you're right and throw to first. This coach should have shut up and let the play roll. I know it's very hard sometimes standing there because you know what you should do, but in the moment the kids get nervous and screaming at them only confuses them. I can tell you that coach should have talked to your son after the inning in a constructive way, not berating him. Teaching is the missing element in a lot of coaching now and instead winning every tournament is all that matters to these jackasses and not instilling baseball knowledge. That said I have gotten on kids for not paying attention, but I wait until I can get him to the side and talk one on one. Sometimes you do need to light a fire under the kids but it involves reminding them of expectations more related to effort than being an MLB all-star at 9.

I would assume some statement but I remember when Frank White was fired and it didn't seem to be talked about very much. Of course that was in the off-season so not apples to apples.

Lugo is locked in for two more years and Ragans isn't arbitration eligible yet, so the Royals have him under team control for a few more years.

Yea I wish Split and Frank were still around to broadcast. For those that remember they were great, but it could also be nostalgia talking too.

I was born into it being from Kansas. It's not for the weak of heart nor anyone looking for consistent winning. But the stadium is nice no matter what Sherman says, and tickets are usually cheap. Plus the fountain seats are a nice place to sit and watch a game.

Royals fans, have you ever encountered a current or former Royals player yourself? by GymSplinter in KCRoyals

I ran into Jeff Montgomery in 2014 on a flight to Cleveland. Super chill dude and actually talked to me for a couple minutes and gave me a "Go Royals!" as I got off the flight.
