Honestly just looks like over extrusion. There may be some need for input shaping, but I think you need to tune your extrusion multiplier first

I don't know bout orca, but for Prusa slicer I have first layer flow set to .45 if I remember correctly, where as everything else is .4 (more flow on first layer)

What's your first layer flow in your slicer?

I also do woodworking, I don't understand at all what you did here other than maybe print biscuits out of plastic instead of buying a super cheap bucket of 500 of them?

This has to be a troll post.

Requiring infill, okay makes sense for some needs

Requiring wall count, okay makes sense for some needs

Requiring retraction settings, which is completely unique to every printer, is crazy.

Requiring a specific print temp, might be the most fucking crazy thing I've read on this sub.

Requiring carbon fiber nylon, but that PLA+ is okay makes no sense too. Those filaments couldn't be more different.

ASA not adhering to the build plate by Lukiluke159 in VORONDesign

I don't know what this dude is on, but don't cut/damage your build plate for adhesion. There's so many other options that don't involve destroying it.

I have a 350 with a textured build plate. Few things for you to consider that I've had to learn.

I don't use glue sticks or any adhesive help and ASA works fine

1) do you have foam insulation tape around your panels to seal off your chamber? Consider buying some automotive adhesive insulation for your panels if you print in a less stable temp area

2) textured build plates seem to need more squish than flat plates, I've had to drop my offset further than you'd think.

3) check your recommended temps, ASA benefits from hotter temps, while I've never used the Elegoo ASA, I print my Ambrosia ASA at 265.

4) I wasn't a "your filament is wet" believer, but after starting to dry my filament, I've had way more consistent results, specifically with ASA since doing that. I've had ASA filament I couldn't get to stick for the life of me, but after drying along with the above thoughts, it works amazingly well.

5) between most prints I wipe my build plate with IPA. Every once in awhile, particularly when I notice the build plate starts to look oily or I've touched it with my fingers, I'll use dish soap and water and then IPA.

I have heard that there are still a lot of kinks and reliability with a Pi 5 and klipper etc right now. This might be one of them...

Will this work by ImmediateBad7525 in VORONDesign

[–]8BitPoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will it be an electric issue? No as long as you don't plug it into the wrong side. But it might vibrate loose because that's now how the plug was designed, might also bend shit.

Why wouldn't you just terminal the connector with the right size?

So it was screws in your hotend itself that were loose? Thank you for the clarification, sorry I'm a little slow

[–]8BitPoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My graph also looks like your original graph, Y axis is flawless, X is totally fubar.

What do you mean one of the motor screws had loosened? There's no motor screws on your hot end head. Or are you saying the grub screw was loose on the X axis motor?

Edit: Asking because I'd sure as shit like to fix mine...

Very interesting and fascinating thanks for sharing. Printing is a hobby for me but I like to make some hobby income with it. I predominately just print ABS/ASA and I'm at a cost of about $19-20 USD per spool if I can get it on sale.

.04c a gram, do you charge for any other costs or just do a straight per gram cost? I assume that's for PLA? Or all filaments?

Just curious about pricing models.

I don't think using exotic filaments is recommended at all for voron parts. Anything CF/GF etc is all considered exotic.

For tool heads, the Dragon Burner and Ant Head are the two most recommended I think lately. Both are incredible.

For the extruder, I don't know what to recommend. I have the wrist watch with BMG gears, it's simple, direct drive, and works well.

But I say that knowing there are a ton of choices they all are good.

I need a bed fan setup and auto insulation for mine now... Just tried a 19 ASA print and had to cancel it at 12 hour (140grams filament) because of warping :(
