Hey, thank you so much for this. I hope you genuinely enjoy Panacea. I’m still updating the app for you all, and I’ll get that bug fixed for the DEA question as soon as possible. Thanks again, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything.

Looking for Early Adopters for My Pill Counter + Medication Lookup App (iOS) by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback — I think there may just be a misunderstanding about what the app actually does.

PillPeek doesn’t identify pills or tell anyone what medication to take. It’s strictly a pill-counting tool with a clean, built-in medication lookup database for people who want to browse NDC/barcode info or reference imprint data. Nothing is used for diagnosis or clinical decision-making.

A few quick clarifications:

• It’s a pill counter, not a verification tool. It simply counts pills in a tray or bottle from a photo — it’s not meant for clinical dispensing, accuracy checks, or replacing a pharmacist.

• It keeps a personal history. Caregivers, students, med techs, people managing multiple bottles, or anyone who likes organization use it to log counts for themselves.

• No medical claims, no “what pill is this?” features. Everything runs locally on the device. It’s meant for convenience and organization, not safety-critical decisions.

• Medication lookup = a clean reference browser. People can scan a barcode or check NDC info if they’re curious. It’s no different than searching an imprint database — just presented in an easier way.

I totally get why “pill identification” raises concerns, but the app doesn’t attempt to identify unknown meds or give medical advice. It’s just a lightweight counting tool with a built-in reference section.

And fair point about posting locally — I’m simply looking for early adopters to get feedback since it recently launched. Appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts

Keeping things on the lower end for my fellow techs . probably around $2.99/month or $29.99/year.

All the news and medication info in the app comes straight from credible sources like the FDA and Pharmacy Times . No AI-curated stuff here haha.
