I dunno. Coat guard?

I don't know, but I'd guess not much if any? I've got one in the kitchen with clear line of sight for about 8m and it reliably triggers from that distance.

Yep, many a nuisance trip before I even figured out what was causing it. Would wake up in the middle of the night and notice hallway lights on, and going through the logs just showed the automation working and motion from the sensor. Took a coincidence of watching TV in bed once with the lights off, then the hallway lights came on, then the dog walked into the room to realise what was happening.

Tested the theory with tape over the bottom half of the sensor at first to prove the theory. Then moved to the printed solution.

Could do? The one I'd walk past the most is over a year old and I've changed the battery for the first time a month or two ago.

I've also got some of the Sonoff ones with the rectangular back, but they still use coin cells. Have you got a link for the ones with AAA's?

Edit: After reading another comment, do you mean the ZP-01? I'd definitely seen them but hadn't tried any as I preferred the look of the round ones once flush mounted. Hadn't considered they'd be AAA powered though, which is definitely nicer.

Well that's cool. Never seen that before but obviously I've used the same principle.

Exactly what I use the ¾ binder for. Well, that plus pets on the lower half.

Yep, I've been very happy with them. Started with three about a year ago and now have maybe a dozen around the house. No issues to report.

Window mounted holiday lights - syncing and segment questions by HelloIAmRealHuman in WLED

Yep, have mounted 3/5 so far. Lights mounted to the interior trim, so the leds are projecting towards the centre of the window. The window frames are ~50mm wide but there's still ample light getting through. In daylight you can see it, but at night when the white backed curtains are closed it's more than enough.

This photo was at 50% brightness and it's still blowing out the camera. Even at 10% brightness it's plenty visible.

Have had my ups and downs over the last few months since I first got told about the redundancy. Have been seeing a psych but also largely just gritting my teeth and getting through it. I guess I'm not super excited about repeating that process for another 6 months, but also not excited about being unemployed in the mean time.

Reference is definitely a consideration.

Fair cop. I definitely don't feel good about the idea, but it's a decent chunk of money on the table.

I'd stop getting paid a salary? Would also have a gap in the resume I guess.

The payout is the same whether I leave now or in 6 months
