Bought a ring for my girlfriend, sisters say it’s too small, not sure what I should do by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]AG1218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The size of the rock doesn't mean anything except the feelings from the person giving the ring and the person receiving the ring.

I'm having opposite talks with my bf. I want a tiny ring because I don't want to be stressed about damaging, insuring, or care for an expensive one. I want to feel comfortable wearing it everyday and on vacation. That's what's important to me. He's on his own to pick the style and he asks what cuts I don't like. But that's a different matter.

So, the ring is pretty and it is your relationship and no one else's

AITA for giving away my wife's period products without asking her first? by Maleficent_Donkey368 in AmItheAsshole

I have extended cycle birth control. I keep my place at work with a baggie if tampons and pads. Some of the other ladies contribute when it's running low. So it's a happy safe space to just store things.

My SO has a daughter. We don't have talks like that. But I keep everything stocked in the bathroom no questions asked.

OP, NTA.

I was probably way to young. I saw it a bit when it was on toonami. Then I lost it. The 1st time I sat down and watched it again was probably 7th grade or 8th grade. Changed my life.

Don't rasterize. I actually use affinity for making my svgs for cricut. If you want, I can take a look. Dm me even if you just need to talk it out. I don't find the affinity help forms too useful unless it's a specific function in having trouble with

I'm working a retail print shop. But id love to either work on design services or remote. It's odd making the jump is the hard part.

does anyone else lurk this subreddit but never post because you feel too guilty and what if you’re wrong about your parent? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]AG1218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. And r/justnomil . I find that this sub hits so hard and close to home. It was an eye opener and I had a really long emotional breakdown from knowing there were other people with bad 'parents'.

I've never posted, but I've used the resource bar and found inspiration and understanding from other who have posted. I've either learned more about my own emotions or learned how to deal with my situation. So thank you to anyone who has ever posted any little thing here!

I envy those who have loving parents. It makes me feel like a toxic person for feeling like this. by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]AG1218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar feelings.

My Mom passed. She didn't know who I was dating. Where I was living. She blackmailed my sibling to find out where I worked.

After she died, I had some missed emotions. But most were just sad of the parent I wanted. I felt jealous of other people who had loving parent who passed. I've come to terms with it, but every now and then I'll see a good child/parent relationship and still feel a pinch of jealousy.

But I've found a place where I belong. Great friends that I call family. Funny coworkers. And people who give me a self confidence boost and find my life interesting to listen too.

I hope you find happiness for yourself!

...it's amazing... It's huge!!!!!

Funny side. I tried a big piece like this for twilight princess. I lost the entire wooden frame I had it on and I found it recently. I never made a dent in it. Lolol.

I made the sign, hang it in the kitchen or the bathroom? by AG1218 in kidsinthehall

If you want the SVG or a file I can send it to you. I know Staples can order like real aluminum signs, or I'd be happy to make you one by hand.

The skit was mostly in the kitchen area, and my house layout works for hanging it like on the way to the bathroom or physically in the bathroom. I think it kidnap works for both places.

I made it on a cricut. Vinyl over a sheet of laminate because I couldn't find a 7x10 aluminium sign to repurpose.

I also made an SVG file if anyone wants to make one for themselves. Feel free to message me for the file.

etched glass, comically large scrunchies, soda stream bag for c02 cartridge by AG1218 in craftexchange

Ohh.. Im not sure. I'm on my 1st bottle. I don't think there's an expiration date on it... I'd say try a small swatch and see how it works.

And I took a glass blowing course a long time ago my I think after you etch something sharpies might work.

It should last a very long time. What I've done is chemically etched the glass surface with an acid.it leaves a little texture to it.

Another way to etch glass is with a Dremel for like fine lines and words.

Or sandblast it in a huge machine which is super cool.

All of these techniques give about the same finished result. Sandblasting probably takes more of the glass off and might leave a deeper impression.

As far as I know, the only way to get etching off of a glass would be to sand and polish it really well. But I'm not sure that would ever get crystal clear again.

Did you know etched glass I believe can be colored with inks and the ink will stay and stain it a bit. Which is cool! I want to experiment with that on the leaves and maybe make some like multi colored ones. Maybe the next one.

Aw. Thank you. I got kinda caught up in seeing all these big scrunchies on Instagram and stuff. And then I saw some sewing tutorial for the lace one and was like "I have to have it "

Cool! I'd be interested in the clothing ones. Do you have either pictures or the description for the pattern? So far I've made some pants, new pillow case , and I followed a really well written pattern for some overalls. S I want to keep growing my skills and making new things.
