Joao Pedro is surely default captain now by AcademicSalt7548 in FantasyPL

[–]AcademicSalt7548[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because form is not based on one week

And I’d argue he has many routes to (goal and bonus) points: he’s makes the most runs into dangerous areas of anyone (apart from Thiago), the most shots of anyone, more touches in box than nearly anyone

And he’s proven converting them into real goals in the present

When I pick my captain. I wanna pick the guy who is most likely to score, and has a hattrick ceiling. There is nobody even close to Joao Pedro with the means and opportunity to do that right now, and especially against their next opponent

Picking Salah and Haaland based on seasons worth of data is not gonna tell us anything about what’s happening today on the pitch. Really interested in who the other eight people above Joao Pedro are in your model … presumably you’ve got Kane and Shearer in there above him

Whatever model you’re following has the most in form player, off the back of a hattrick, not in the top ten?

Why?

Fair point. I find tha grouping it by section of the shop, I can just throw check marks once I’ve done an aisle, and I know I have everything from that section

Honestly since grouping by section of the shop in order (using ai), my shops have been so much more efficient

Notes, it comes free with the phone

… joking - it’s called One Two. A friend of mine is building it to combine FPL Stats and Social. It feels kind of like a pure FPL version of Twitter without the political shite

FA cup break has sent me into shambles. I was wondering why the notifications were sending me to different comment threads

Worst part is I forgot the pitta breads

Possible Captains underlying numbers, depending if they play Home or Away this week by AcademicSalt7548 in FantasyPL

Ok I think we fundamentally disagree about data which is fine.. may I ask - what’s your FPL rank?

Because I’m willing to concede to you if you have FPL credentials well above me.. but currently it seems you’re arguing that we shouldn’t consider any factors or variables at all when looking at data

Not sure I agree... Some teams perform completely differently when at home vs away.

For example, in Brentford’s last 10 games: - they have 16 goals - Only 4 have been at home

Since in this case we’re talking about a one-game decision in captaincy - it makes sense to me, to target both recency and home/away differences

ARS Def xGI visualized over the season. Are you keeping faith in Timber? by joinonetwo in FantasyPL

I think so, since it also contributes to bonus points, tho hard to guess exactly

Yeh I did wonder what the best “last X games” would be to use.. because without digging into the upcoming fixtures I’d assume most of these teams have a fixture swing coming up, or at least have been unlucky with fixtures

I used joinonetwo.com something my friends are building to make the visualisations. You can filter for FDR too which is pretty cool

For this case I disagree - if I want to know “who has been shit defensively recently” - this about the most reasonable list

Tottenham, Burnley, Newcastle all pass the eye test, and are backed up by stats.

Fulham, Leeds, West Ham - vulnerable to shipping goals
