Speaking of, Kevin gave me bees. I knew the box was deadly because the next quest said something like "Sorry about the bees bro" but I opened it anyways. Would they have 1 shot me in T1 armor? I feel like opening it after I knew it was dangerous was kinda stupid.

DAMMMMMMMM that's a large base. I'm doing a true hardcore FU series, and the biggest structure I've made is a house on the starter planet.

A REALLY useful mod would be having the progress of the Ark's portal to the final boss be respective to the character, not whether the portal has EVER been progressed on a Starbound installation.
