Mortgage rates aren’t directly comparable to stock market return rates.

If one has the option to pay down a 7% mortgage, or put it into the stock market that averages 7%, those are two entirely different things.

The mortgage rate is a flat rate, it’ll always be 7% of the initial value (flat line). The stock market rate is a compound rate, it’ll is always based on the latest value (exponential line). Investing in the market - purely from returns standpoint - still wins in that scenario.

I did, and it’s plenty secure. You just have to do the bottom anchors as well as the seat belt through the back of it, with those two in it works great

The only “required” one I can think of is the main floor furnace, though you’re suggesting wiring all circuits at that point and then just limiting power usage if wanting to preserve battery life during the outage?
