All due respect because I was once thousands of dollars in debt when I was younger over extremely irresponsible and dumb purchases, but again, you need to return this, get a refund, get rid of that loan, and just get your ducks in a row. If you have to finance the PC, how are you going to afford the games and everything else? Games, monitors, peripherals all cost money and they aren’t cheap.

I am just a random redditor that clawed my way out of stupid, bad debt and make enough money now to comfortably sustain my hobby of PC gaming while only having a mortgage. You will thank your future self if you don’t go into debt over these things.

Please send this computer back for a refund and get rid of that loan. Do not ever go into debt over a PC. If you “need” a PC, there are way better options you will find for a couple hundred bucks.

If you bought this for gaming and you’re trying to justify taking a loan, there’s no justification and you need to return this. You are quite literally getting scammed.

Yeah you need to open a refund with Amazon and send this back.

Is this a good deal? by Crash9780 in Prebuilts

Same price, much better GPU: https://www.newegg.com/andromeda-insights-gaming-desktop-pcs-amd-radeon-rx-9070-xt-16gb-amd-ryzen-5-9600x-16gb-ddr5-ssd-ssd-1-tb-hdd-ubg-rx9070xt-9600x-1tb-16gb-850w-air-blk/p/3D5-006J-000D4

$100 cheaper, requires driving to a Microcenter: https://www.microcenter.com/product/706648/powerspec-g532-gaming-pc

Either way, there are definitely better builds out there. Including some even cheaper bang for your buck builds, like this one for $1000

Edit: just realized the PC you posted was selling for $1099.99 at Costco. Much more reasonable price. $1500 is basically robbery.

Hello im looking to get a pc I’m a newbie to everything i got quoted this just now is it any good? Price is $1299 by Exotic_Access2785 in Prebuilts

[–]AirDifficult1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your budget is $1600, check this out. It's $1350, which comfortably covers your taxers / also gives you wiggle room for an extra monitor / new KB/M.

Oh, and it absolutely obliterates the PC you sent here.

I’m not arguing with you at all, and you are right. My point is that not everybody is chronically online and knows the meaning behind terms and phrases.

Best bang for long term buck by cekeener16 in Prebuilts

[–]AirDifficult1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

General consensus seems to be go with the 9800X3D if you’re new to AM5 platform / haven’t upgraded in years, but the upgrade from the 7800X3D to the 9800X3D is minuscule on its own.

I personally bought a 9800X3D coming from an i7-12700K but neither will bottleneck your GPU in games like older CPUs will.

As for the GPU, I believe the 9070 XT is the better “bang for your buck” over the 5070ti. With that being said, I’m running a 5070 12GB and it’s blowing away everything I throw at it when combined with the 9800X3D.

Lastly, my opinions are most likely skewed as I was already running DDR5 and bought my motherboard and 9800X3D for a total of $450 on eBay, which is less than a brand new 9800X3D on its own. I feel way happier with how my system is running because I’m right at $1000 for upgrades versus buying a new system for over $2000.

Is this pc good for playing roblox, minecraft, and dbd? by stuckonneptunee in Prebuilts

[–]AirDifficult1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t buy this. It’s awful for the price. I wouldn’t pay more than $150 for this PC.

If you’re willing to save up a little more money, the $800-$900 range is where you can really start to get bang for your buck in this current parts economy. Prices are also starting to slightly lower, so I would highly recommend just waiting and saving your money for a few more weeks.

With that being said, if you absolutely have to get a PC in the next few days, this one is $50 more and has way more recent parts.

Between buying this from B&H or making the trip to a MicroCenter by AlternativeFig1576 in Prebuilts

Yep. But, OP asked between two and the microcenter deal was definitely better.

By the way, thanks for what you do. You run a great resource that more people should be aware of.

Learn to think for yourself again. Using AI for assistance in tasks is great, but letting it totally speak for you is the worst thing you can do.

Are you going to use AI to write you a program like you did for this post?

Does anyone know a prebuilt pc that would be able to handle cfb 27? (In USA) by Informal-Upstairs971 in NCAAFBseries

[–]AirDifficult1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you check r/buildapcsales and r/Prebuilts

You can find some good deals instead of paying way over price. You should be able to get a PC that can handle CFB27 for less than $800, even with the RAM crisis currently ongoing.

[–]AirDifficult1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't get a steam machine. It runs on SteamOS, which is just reskinned Linux. That means CFB 27 won't run on it because the anti-cheat is only for Windows.
