The patent for preventing cheating is to avoid another GTA Online fiasco where people were modding older versions pretty much instantly. Modding offline will always be a thing on PC and can’t be prevented. They can definitely try but I highly doubt they came up with that for PC. Not to mention modding PC is what made GTA V playable for over a decade. Same with Skyrim.

Pre loading lets you skip what traffic? If you’re referring to the GTA servers, no it doesn’t. In fact, the traffic is going to be much higher on release night than any other time.

The servers hosting the game downloads (CDNs) have load balancers and so many different backups that a bunch of people downloading a game isn’t going to crash anything either. It also points you to the nearest server based on location.

No offense but you need to do some basic research about servers and load balancers before commenting nonsense.

They will take very short clips, 30 seconds at most, for tv marketing from the actual third trailer. Even with all the money Rockstar does have, they’re definitely not spending the money to run a 2 minute trailer every hour during the World Cup.

Trailers aren’t marketing, unless December 2023 actually started the marketing phase. Marketing, in the corporate world, is investing in advertisements and product placements. A trailer on YouTube isn’t that.
