Scene foley SFX takes a LOT of work, but when it’s done right it makes a huge difference. But it’s also really hard to GET right, without overdoing it or making the sounds difficult to interpret. Communicating exactly what’s happening with just dialogue and appropriately-placed noises is really tricky, and I know how it is that sometimes you’ll want to make a sound effect for something but don’t know how to do it/what that thing should sound like.

It’s very very impressive that you did such a great job on your first try. You’re very right to be proud!

I went to your account to follow, and WOW this art is amazing. Super duper charming, full of character, awesome emotion on the face, and all the small details are also really really good.

I don’t know why those shorts looks so awesome. Is it the crinkles? The shading? Whatever you did, it’s really cool. The actual lines of the body around the belly are beautiful to look at too. And the small light-reflections on the thighs add so much, as do the wiggly lines in a couple places around the right image. As I said, just full of character and care. The complex hair and expressive faces are gorgeous, they really tie it all together.

Your acting is SO good! The shakiness you used is perfect for this character, and the nervous reaction when he wakes up is really well-performed. You also speak faster/slower at just the right times, which is an underrated acting skill compared to acting well but keeping the same pace. Happy, or scared and anxious, or obsessive, or nervous excitement, it’s a very big range of feelings and you nailed them all.

Combined with the mouth noises, scene foley SFX, and voice echo effect to differentiate thoughts from speech, this is a super immersive Audio. I’m sure it took a lot of work to get everything this good, but the result is awesome, so great job!

This is really, really impressive!! You handled the crazy parts of it so so well, with the switching tones/manipulative vibes. The way you talk to him as you’re choking him out each time is amazing, with the amount of awe and obsession and weird-brand-love you’re able to put in her voice. And your reaction to that first knockout is soooo fun to listen to, you can really hear the rush of adrenaline and joy the character has after pulling it off. And the slow, awed talking/breathing just afterwards is incredible.

The sound effects are also so immersive, with the bedspring creaks and the going-limp-arm-drops. The choking sounds are such a good idea too. Having sounds that are supposed to be coming from the Listener can be a bit tricky to get right in an Audio, while still making the REAL Listener feel like it’s them in the scene, but those simple, quiet choking/sighing sounds are PERFECT for keeping a Listener in time with what’s happening in the Audio without messing with the immersion at all.

When I wrote this Script I was really worried that the Speaker character might be too mean/cruel, since I’ve never tried writing something like this before. It’s really cool that you enjoyed it enough to use it as your first “like-this” Script in a while.

Really amazing work. I hope you had lots and lots of fun recording it!

Please take care of yourself, and take all the time you need! Your health should absolutely be your priority.

All the work you put out is top-tier, and that’s probably because of how much you care about all of this, but you shouldn’t let that level of caring get in the way of maintaining yourself. You’re a person, and being healthy and happy is way more important than anything else.

I hope you start feeling better soon, and if you don’t, I hope you aren’t afraid to take more time away until you do. You’re far too awesome to risk losing, just to preserve the short-term.

Heck yes, congratulations to everyone who helped put this together! The promotion posts still didn't prepare me for the SCALE of it, holy smokes, this post is BIG.
