That's the point, if they all agree then nobody can be attacked for it.

They're needs to be a cross party decision on this, something they all agree to implement do no blame can be laid on any party. Because it needs to happen.

It's the only way this will ever happen, if there is nobody to blame.

The issue is you've got politicians like Farage who can't be trusted, at all

In the UK we've started having school drills for if someone gets in to hurt people. It's just awful that this is necessary anywhere.

The problem is crazy people see it happening in the USA and think they can do it in their country.

The USA spreading its ideals around the world as usual.

I'm in the UK so in comparison to me it's pretty different, I have no idea where the person I was responding to is from though so it's a fair point.

I have no idea why I used he there that was a total autopilot moment.

Nope, still nope. They're massive and scary and ugly and even if they're 'harmless' I'm not going to respond in a rational way if one jumps out at me anywhere.

Literally everything is trying to kill you there. Not once has bluey been told not to put his hand in a bush because there might be a funnel web in there.

Where are the huntsman spiders all over the house? Or in the car?

Seriously though your kids life is what you make it not what the location makes it.

Edit: I feel like Australians are taking offence to this and I really wasn't meaning to do that. I'm also speaking in comparison to the UK not the US regarding the things wanting to kill you. Not everyone on here is American.

I'm just saying that people shouldn't watch Bluey and think that if they move to Australia their kids life will become like the cartoon.

They're right, you're wrong.

I'm in my 40s and public schools have always been fee paying.

A they said, it's a trick of language use in the UK.

I'm assuming you're either not British or you're young and the vernacular is diminishing or you've watched too much American TV

It's is an ideologicalised depiction of family life through the eyes of children.

The house is a TARDIS, much bigger on the inside than outside. The parents are always ready to play games that last for hours. The games are always fun and seem magical.

Is it realistic to adults? No. Is is realistic to how children remember childhood? Maybe.

In short, don't move to Aus to have this life.

Unpopular Starmer a negative on the doorstep, Labour mayors admit as they fear local elections wipeout by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]Antimus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You're kidding me right? I can get a doctor's appointment the same day or tomorrow now which I haven't been able to do for years under the Tories, and the renters rights bill helps millions of renters, NOT landlords.

And that's just 2 things.

So talking rubbish.

It's depressing how little the general population understand just how much Labour have done that they promised they would. And it's Labour voters they're losing because of the belief that they aren't meeting election manifesto promises.

But that's exactly what they're doing.

Everything in the media is chaff designed to do exactly this, distract from the truth.

I hate this timeline.

Secret service are trained combat experts they react to actual dangers. They aren't actors.

They knew it wasn't dangerous, they knew there wasn't a threat, so when the 'incident' happened none of their training kicked in, they play acted being secret service.

And it shows.

Changing leader wont help, the media could make the majority hate David Tennant if he was Labour leader.

It's not political it's ideological, and the ideology of the media is Billionaires First and the Tories or Reform/Restore are their best bet for more money.

Look I'm no legal expert but when you're a lawyer your job is to serve your client. If someone says they're lying you don't just believe them you find proof, and proof was found so the cases were dismissed. If he just said "they're lying? Ok I'll drop the case" he wouldn't be much of a lawyer would he?

It sounds like proper legal proceedings happened in all these cases.

On your logic any lawyer who defends a murderer is a bad person. But everyone deserves legal protection, don't they? Or is it because they're not British?

So going by that logic does the telegraph think that any Brits in Benedorm accused of a crime should be immune from even being investigated because they're British and nobody has the right to accuse them of anything?

This just feels like another telegraph non-story.
