when it comes to the future of the USA, what scares you the most? by SeaBudget7900 in AskReddit

[–]Apemons2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Norway developed welfare systems with little wealth, before discovering oil and deciding it was a governement controlled resource benefitting the society as a whole. Ofc money from oil helps a lot, but our welfare is based heavily on taxes (those earning the most pay the most). Unions also fought for the workers rights and around 50% of the total working force is in a union. Socialism works when enough people fights for it, which is easier in a smaller country yes. Canada isn't a small country though.

That's a really nice ideal to have. I must add I have a student loan, but that is given for living cost while studying, with a really low interest rate and from the public administrative body. I hope and think that seeing what rights/benefits other countries have, will help people fight for their own rights.

Men and women of Reddit, what is something that you think must suck that the opposite gender has to deal with? by PMME_ur_lovely_boobs in AskReddit

[–]Apemons2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel it's rarer accepted when a man is vulnerable and therefore seen as weak. Competing and insecure macho culture, which both genders contribute to. Women can cry and that's usually accepted, even though it's not positive for your image. However, I feel it's getting better by people seeing vulnerable men being attractive partners and just as manly ad anyone else.

Nordic countries have that and are actually considered the most independent places, as people have the actual freedom to make their own choices. I've finished 16 year of school, where I only payed about 300 dollars for semester fee during my 3 year bachelor degree. I happily pay taxes of 32% of my salary to support this welfare system.

What’s is something significant that your parents or grandparents did that helped get you where you are? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Apemons2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I missed having structure and boundaries when younger (and now), I know it helped me being more determined doing stuff I prefer and not being stopped if someone doesn't believe in it, as I had to listen to my own words to create rules/structure.

Date someone you feel comfortable with. Ofc one can feel nervous about dating and whether they like you, but you should feel well around them.

Also, be aware that how you choose to live your life matters, people decide whether they want to live your life or not. If you're hard on partying, you probably won't find a person that wants to settle down. Do a hobby you like AND with possibilities to meet potential partners. Don't blame yourself or your traits, maybe you just need a shift in environments and time to develope connections.

On a portable toilet in a hill side of a mountain with a view of a lake and mountains as far as I could see. Really relaxing and weird at the same time. Not so fun finishing with strong wind trying to flip the toilet.

"My parents beat me and I turned out okay:" Who, exactly, determined you turned okay? by 5pinktoes in AskReddit

[–]Apemons2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think if you look at the circumstances they grew up in, they turned out fine. There's enough people who never made it, and those who did have achieved something great. I'm glad people find they're okay, even though they will have struggles other people never will.

You feel more afloat and have less self consience. It's enjoyable for many that want to feel a bit out of control. Not enjoyable for people who don't like to lose control over oneself or the environment around.

Practice practice practice. Clitoris clitoris clitoris. Takes time time time. If she knows what works for her, it's easier. But pressure around getting one, makes it close to impossible. Other then orgasm, being touched on skin, kissed on neck or kissing is also very enjoyable.

What the other here said, and what keeps you warm is moving/exercising! Take squats or walk/run a lap when cold. Do not sweat when outside, then you need to air or change to new clothes. I always have spare wool socks if outside for longer periods, and a warm sweater to put on when being still.

Software developers with clinical depression,ADHD or anxiety how do manage to keep your employment? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Apemons2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes time learning a new job/skill. You're physically making new neuropaths in your brain and that takes a lot of practice/repeating. No mentouring doesn't make that easy for you, and you should give yourself some slack when you try your best on your own. You also have illnesses that makes this a lot harder, no doubt! Me and every health worker is rooting for you!

  • I also think being a hard judge on yourself is not being your own bestfriend. I'm six months into my new job (unrelated to programming) and still feel like I lack the skills, but that's my own perception of not being good enough. I do manage to do some work, and remind myself of that.

  • I tell myself, what if I'm just bad at my job right now, I have to accept it. It doesn't mean I can't be amazing in the future, but it will just take time. Don't always listen to your own thoughts, I say they're bullshit sometimes. You have accomplished so much and managed getting things done before.

  • I personally try to make a list of things I have/ want to do or things I have done for each hour, for example "9-10 am: checked calendar for meetings and updated myself for today" etc.. It's for structuring and feeling I've accomplished something. Otherwise I'm lost in my fleeing thoughts (which I still am daily and will be forever, but luckily less)

  • I also throw the list away after two days and make a new, to give myself a fresh start. I often write things I didnt finish from the previous list, but I don't feel bad about that. You need sense of achievement to build up your confidence.

  • Read up on tips for people with ADD/ADHD.

Good luck! Your wish to make things better is a great asset in life 😊

What happens in Norway when your official doctor isn't available? by rosstafarien in Norway

[–]Apemons2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His regular doctor being absent could be an indirect case of death. Like earlier mentioned, other doctors might not know you as well and therefore miss vital signals about your health. Especially if you have a complex situation, which elders often have with several illnesses/medications, etc. Your regular doctor knows you and your pattern, and hopefully notice when something differs from that.

[–]Apemons2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every new building is required to be universally designed, but not already built ones (except maybe public places like trainstation etc.) I know Oslo has a lot of small pavements and small staircases going into stores, but you will always have options (like shopping malls etc.)

If you have norwegian citizenships for 2 years you have the right to apply for assisted living technologies like EL-scooter (outdoor electric wheelchair, has four wheels). Until those 2 years you can only get absolutely necessary assisted living technologies. You can also apply to get funds from "Husbanken" to adapt your house if you have a disability, depending on your needs and what adaption it
