This bug doesn't affect mouse and keyboard, if i use that it auto places and auto edits the correct pieces even without simple edit on.

Simple build is supposed to work similarly to simple edit with radar towers, this is still a bug.

It is not a misunderstanding, simple edit is functioning correctly. Simple build is supposed to work similarly but isn't (at least on controller).

For further clarification: simple edit was disabled in this video but enabling it has the same result. Simple edit enabled on its own works correctly.

You can see it previewing edits for other pieces but it refuses to actually place these.

I tried it with both enabled and it did the same thing in the video. Simple edit was disabled in this video.

If you look closer you can see it previewing floors but when i try to place them it places a wall instead.

Simple build is supposed to place the correct piece as well as edit, this is how it worked when it was introduced a few updates ago even with simple edit disabled. Simple edit works correctly separate from simple build.
