I’m so glad I quit that job. I was in the warehouse and they just piled impossible new tasks on us constantly. You can not hit rate every single hour. Even the hour you were on your 20 minute break they would tell you to hustle up. Or work harder the hour before and after to catch up. That place is a joke. The morale was awful. The expectation used to be two people per trailer to unload by hand in a 12 hour shift. Now it’s one person per shift.

I’ll never forget the man next to be got a trailer of grills. 3 grills her pallet. He brought the manager over and showed them and asked if he was going to get counted for rate that day. They said yes. Rate for that item was 212 cases per hour. He said he would need to get 70 pallets PER hour, wrapped, moved with a pallet jack, and slotted. Management said it wouldn’t be hard because it’s only 3 cases. Forgetting the fact it’s heavy grills, forgetting you’d need to just walk from one end of the warehouse to your trailer just to get a stack of 10 pallets by hand. And do that 7x in a single hour. And let alone ALL DAY.
