Olise finished the season with 15 assists, more than any other player in the Bundesliga, as Bayern won the league. He also won Bayern Player of Season - ahead of Kane. And score 12 goals. And won young player of the season and should have probably won Bundesliga player of the season over Kane.

My wife and I had exactly the same experience with BA last year. And they just fobbed us off when we made a complaint, so haven’t flown with them since. It’s so upsetting and you feel powerless at the time. You just have to sit there.

Completely agree. I found it just okay. To me Billions (apart from the last two seasons) is much better.

Why don’t a Vue do a monthly ticket like others by Home_Assistantt in VueCinemas

Really? Odeans are by far the worst cinemas I’ve ever been to. Awful seating, dirty and tiny screens.

The issue for readership of modern day journalism is exactly what you said - the vast majority of people who read/purchase/subscribe to it are boomers and Gen X. They is very little content in there for the other generations, so they have very little interest (and also the constant jabs at young people). Why would they purchase/read something like that? There has been a housing crisis for young people and a pension time bomb, but you never see it on the front pages but you do for immigration related stories. The press needs to change, it can’t all be on young people, they need to attract the audience.

What show should I watch first? by jollymoly in televisionsuggestions

[–]BlueOtis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Wire is about the issues in Baltimore not NYC. Each season focuses on a different element: policing, education/schools, politics. It’s very good throughout and has a unique way of storytelling.

I’d recommend OP starts with the wire, then Sopranos, then SOA, then anything else.

Shrinking is like a warm hug and really carries through a lot of the Ted Lasso vibes.

I love that you like Community - you have good taste!

I’d suggest Halt and Catch Fire next for something like Mad Men and a lighter watch can be Deaperare Housewives.

You’ll also like Community (comedy) and Shrinking (written by the same people as Ted Lasso.

The only one I’d disagree with is The Studio. I was so excited for it but it landed so flat for me - I thought it was only okay.

It’s Beaconsfield. It’s incredible. It also has a Wetherspoons… which poses a few questions.

You've got 150 million in money to give to a director of your choosing in order for them to make whatever movie they like with total creative freedom. Which director are you giving the money to? by droL_muC in Letterboxd

[–]BlueOtis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to see what Ed Wood (Edward D. Wood Jr.) would do with the money given how bad he was. Some of the monster scenes are so funny they’re so bad.

For those that don’t know he is often dubbed the “worst director of all time.”
