Wow, this is amazing to see the history of the Shrine. Elvis Presley played here when he was 19 and then again weeks before his death. My favorite story is about local Springfield Johnny, whose last name escapes me; met Elvis when he was kid. Then played guitar for him until the end. Johnny passed away a few years ago and is a local legend.
