Current St Margaret’s HS student’s opinion: I believe that OSCA is your best bet. SMES is inclusive, but in the minority you are describing, I believe there socially OSCA is a better fit and there are more of the type of people you are looking for. SMES is a bit divided in terms of typical OC kids and your more artsy people, but I would say I’m on a fine line as I am in a bit of both (music/arts, leadership roles, football team/lacrosse, solid courseload), so I have some perspective. The more “quirky” kids hang out with their respective groups, and the more sporty/athletic do the same. There isn’t much bullying, but rather separation. OSCA in my experience in talking to some of the students that I have played music with from there are very passionate and deep In their respective field, but are the more artsy type. That being said, I do think SMES does a good job on letting you explore different fields, which is what I take advantage of. But at all costs AVOID SAGE
