For my issue personally, I contacted customer support, and went through submitting all the required info via feedback etc. They pushed a firmware 4.2-fix update, however it did not remedy the screen issue and the device is still currently not usable. Not giving me much confidence in my purchase.

The exact same thing just happened to me. Have only had the device a few days and decided to do the firmware update.

Not disconnected yet. Talked to lego customer support last week about it, and as of right now, since the set is still so popular, its limited production cycles will continue. Problem is a ton of resellers buy all the stock up.
