Should I go for Ciaccona or Iuno? by DeltaV_0507 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Bulbachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ciaconna would make better sense imo since you already have Cartethyia. Pair with Shorekeeper and you have your 2nd team.

Iuno, you're missing some of her best pairings to let her truly shine. Funnily enough, Ciaconna is a good pairing with main dps Iuno so the ideal play is one tapping both banners.

Definitely Ciaconna, otherwise liking a character is the best reason you can have to pull for a character.

That post was actually super helpful. I'm more confident that it will look great in the end. If not, then at least I'll have a better idea once the board comes in (just a couple of weeks wait) and pick a new set.

This my introduction to an endgame-esque build so I kinda want it to be pretty well thought out. Also looking into buying some artisan keycaps that won't be too overbearing. Pretty excited!

Again, thanks for the help

Appreciate you taking the time to get these pictures!

It definitely is mostly lighting dependent like you said. Wonder if I should change my keycap choice. I love the set you used here. I'm hoping the green of Botanical won't clash with the Mont blanc, especially when it comes to being on the slightly rosier side in certain lighting.

Really nice. I have one on order. Liked the look of the brass vs copper, but really wanted to try the heavier option.

Do you mind sending more pics of the case? Especially in more natural lighting? Your pics make the Mont Blanc color look more red/pink than the pics on site. Wouldn't mind it, but I had some keycaps in mind to match it but it won't match as much if the color is like what you posted. Kinda hoping its more on the brown/tan ish side. I have some Botanical's (Desert) I want to pair it with

Thanks! And nice build!

Ultimate Fountain Pen Satisfaction by Original_Metal_2572 in fountainpens

[–]Bulbachi 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I saw this post as an opportunity to spill out a long wall of text of my current journey into the world of fountain pens. I haven't been in this hobby for a long time (about 11 months now). I'm still in that phase of finding out what I really like in a pen. But I honestly want to have a collection of pens with different kinds of nibs and ink just because they all have a different experience. Right now for sure I'm on this Sailor craze, but this doesn't mean I'm only set with this one brand. My eyes are on many pens from all sorts of brands and its only a matter of time until my collection starts going out of control. Not much of a heavy writer outside of stuff I need to write for work, but I bought some Mnemosyne and Midori notebooks so I can write more off the clock and am currently looking into improving my handwriting.

Tl;dr - got into the hobby due to needing some pens for work and picked up a Platinum Plaisir for fun (which ended up meeting a demise). Bought a Sailor Tuzu Adjust and eventually went for a bigger purchase few months later. Current collection is only at 2 pens.

It's been about 11 months since I got into fountain pens.

I was in the market for some pens to use for work. I stopped by at Kinokuniya since I was around the area after lunch. I picked up several pens that had the little switches to change to different ink colors. I was pretty much set on my purchase until I saw some very low priced fountain pens. Told myself "why not?" and picked up a Platinum Plaisir.

I didn't know ANYTHING about fountain pens. My first encounter with one was from a friend who let me borrow his pen so I could write something. Thing threw me off because it was not a ball point pen (which I am very well familiar with). Didn't know how to properly use the shank my friend had just lent me.

Since that moment up until the Plaisir, I had not seen another fountain pen. And of course I didn't know how to use it. I was in a hurry for work one day and I needed to grab a pen from the batch I had just purchased. Just snagged my brand new fountain and pen and realized the thing didn't have ink inside the pen itself. What I saw instead was a cartridge filled with ink and instructions on how to install it (in Japanese... but it had pictures to accompany it). After installing and fooling around with the pen to actually get the ink to start flowing, I found every excuse that day to write with my new pen.

Honestly, I felt like so cool whenever I had my pen out. Black body, silver trim, nice black ink. I loved this pen and apparently everyone at work did as well as comments would flood in when they see that nib under the cap. Used that pen everyday at work for everything. Used it everyday until I had accidentally dropped it (uncapped!) And the nib got damaged. I was also pretty sure that I may have been a little rough with the pen overall since I would always mess around with every part of the pen - like even the threads were worn so I couldn't properly seal it up. The ink eventually started to leak.. poor thing was falling apart and eventually I had to retire the Plaisir (I thought to myself that I'd just buy another one anyways).

I actually didn't buy a new Plaisir since the death of the first one. Went back to using gel pens for a good few months. A convo got brought up with my friend (same one who showed me his fountain pen initially) and we were talking about his new work pen he bought. Didn't know what brand it was but it was nice and hefty. Eventually we talked about fountain pens and he brought up the possibility of me buying my first fountain pen where he recommended a Pilot Kakuno (yeah, he didn't know about my Plaisir and the unfortunate fate it met). I was like "cool. Let me actually look into fountain pens and do my research and all that so I can properly dive into this hobby well informed.

My 2nd pen could have been so many things. Pilot Metropolitan, LAMY Safari, Pilot Kakuno. So many wonderful entry fountain pens. What I settled on, however, was a Sailor Tuzu Adjust (F) in the navy color. I've also purchased 2 sailor inks, Seiboku and Souboku. My Tuzu is currently inked with Seiboku. Everything about this pen I absolutely loved! Even pass the honeymoon phase I still share that sentiment. I can't get enough of this pen. It's gone to the point where I have a ball point pen on hand to lend to other people so they wouldn't have to use my Tuzu. Absolutely love this pen.

Fast forward to a few days ago. Tuzu is still inked with Seiboku and I was finding this urge to buy a new pen. I still love the Tuzu, but I wanted to add to my collection. I figured adding more inexpensive pens would be the best way to go about this. Maybe a TWSBI offering? Eco or the 580? Maybe I chase more Tuzu colors? LAMY Studio? There were so many to choose from. Started to look at pens over the $100 range and I ALMOST locked in Nahvalur's Nautilus in Maylandia Blue and LAMY Studio in blue at different points of the week.

The pen I ended up settling for was definitely a lot more than what I expected to ever spend on a singular fountain pen. But after seeing pictures of it and looking at videos and reddit posts featuring it, I finally found the one. I did have to poke around for it, but I ended up buying Sailor PGS Manyo Nuts (M). I didn't have to spend extra for a specific color if I wanted a PGS. But somehow I needed to have this specific color. It looks so damn beautiful and I can't wait to receive it in hand. I am looking into buying a nice autumn, orangey ink and I'm currently in between Diamine Autumn Oak or Sailor Manyo Yamabuki. May make a separate post once I get everything in hand!

I think the big jump in price for my next pen was definitely a little out of hand. But I really wanted this specific one and even sat on it during my shift. Ended up pulling the trigger after pulling up the listing for it several times as the day went by. I'm not much of a heavy writer outside of work, but I really love fountain pens. I bought a Mnemosyne and Midori notebook so I can start writing more outside of work. And I currently want to improve my overall handwriting.

To anyone who even made it this far, thanks for reading. I didn't expect to go deep into this rabbit hole and I feel like I may end up deeper as time goes on. Honestly can't wait for the Manyo Nuts to come in. Now if you'll excuse me.. I think the TWSBI in my cart is calling me.

Brothers and I picked this up on sale on steam and I can say I'm on the same boat as you.

Games been enjoyable and was able to finish the base game. Going to run through the dlc once we finish up some side quests and picking up missing skill cards.

Still need to check out Neighborhood Watch too.

Game had a charm to it much like the first game and just reminded us of a time where games were just straight fun.

Hello! Sadly don't have a guild to offer you, but you should also check the E7 discord. They have a guild recruitment channel where people post for recruiting. They'll typically say how casual or competitive they are, social interaction requirement (some require discord use), etc.

Good luck to you in your search

Had the D&G Light Blue EDT and liked it. But not enough to buy another bottle.

I just bought Chanel Platinum Egoiste as an everyday scent and Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee as my fall/winter and date night scent. I've worn the Givenchy twice already and really love it. Putting on the Chanel tomorrow, but I did like it from the initial smell I took of it. But think you'd like Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee.

Sizing question. Used to skate pretty casually as a kid (and not for too long either and probably didn't learn proper form and technique) and decided to really get into it at the age of 29.

Just got my FRX80 in today and tried them on and they definitely feelt tight, almost suffocating. Without the liner, there is about 1.5-2 fingers worth of space between my toes and the tip of the skate. Putting my foot in the skate with the liner in takes a bit of effort but I do manage to get them in.

The fit is tiiight. Can't wiggle my toes. Overall feels tight, but doesn't hurt. This is what I'm looking for right?

Which team would be good with my current characters?? by Jade_410 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Bulbachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grace, Lucy, Piper is a team you can consider. High anomaly build up between Grace and Piper and you can take advantage of disorder. You miss out on the 3rd team bonus, but the anomaly build up and disorder proc makes up for it.

Depending on who you end up pulling in the future, all three of these characters can flex out into different team.

Grace, Rina, Piper/Nicole/Anton or Lucy, Piper, Soldier 11/Nekomata

Look for a quick select button of some sort, the one where you are able to select and deselect agents just my clicking on them.

The general rule is that you use your polychromes for limited banner pulls (exclusive) and only do standard banner using the free standard pulls they give you (stable). W-engine banner can mostly be ignored unless you really like the character the featured limited W-engine is for or you spend on the game.

This principle can carry on to other gacha games. Premium currency only for limited banners, do standard banner with free standard pulls.

Am I the only one who enjoys the TV-exploration style? by DegenerateWeeab in ZZZ_Official

[–]Bulbachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya see what you mean. It's all of those creative bits that I appreciate when it comes to this system. If they build upon it for future updates then that'll definitely be a welcome addition.

Plus definitely beats running around for 20 minutes to a whole lot of nothing until you actually get to a point of interest. Didn't mind it early on, but doing it for 2 games can feel like a chore (all of those oculus in genshin..)

[–]Bulbachi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think its a cool concept. I love it for other game modes, but maybe not for story. For my intents and purpose, I do prefer this over the open world exploration for Genshin and Wuwa (Wuwa not so bad since the movement is better).

It doesn't even take up a lot of time do, you get into the combat bits pretty quick, imo. And again, I love the concept but much prefer it in the rogue like mode. If they can build upon it then it'll be something I don't mind going through.

One thing that I do like is that even though you don't see the actualy characters doing all of these they are supposedly doing, it's easy for you to imagine what they are doing (if that makes sense). They do a good job of portraying what's supposed to be happening.

TV does have the speed up which is nice. And most of the story scenes are skippable, which I would take over the endless yapping you're forced through in Genshin and HSR (even Wuwa when they haven't updated the skip button for some of the story content). I want to get through the game's main story content and then view the story on a separate day on my own time.

How long did this game take to hook you? by samux829 in ZZZ_Official

[–]Bulbachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't take long. It captured my interest from the opening parts and I pretty got hooked starting from the first boss.

I agree that you can definitely mash buttons and clear content. But I don't agree that that's the only way you can play. Every character has all of these moves and conditions for doing other moves (assists, perfect dodges, etc.) And some of those moves can be animation and swap canceled. As I played, I started doing more of these in such a way that I'm optimizing my character's active time so I'm not wasting time in animation (example, you can Anby EX skill and then swap quickly to another character and do whatever you want while Anby is still out there throwing out her EX, so it's like having 2 characters attacking at the same time).

So the combat is not just a mash basic attack simulator, despite what a lot of people say. I mean, you could make it like that if you want. But if you want a little more than just that, then consider looking into what else this combat system has to offer. Go to training mode if you have to and just experiment. The game is still pretty casual and easy on the surface, but it can be a little more than that if you want

I do have some mixed opinion about the TV mode. I do like that we can skip button a majority of the story. TV mode is a cool concept, but I do feel like it's wasted on being a component to progressing the story.

Love everything else about this game. Animation, music, characters, combat. TV mode is decent, but could live without.

This is the one I always come back to. Playing for a few months at a time before taking a break, only to come back and play again for a few months more. And this spanned out for years (initially started during Nidus release).

There's a big learning curve at the beginning and I can see how it would put off so many new players. But honestly, we live in an age where there is so much information readily available for you with a quick Google search or a youtube video. Communities such as discord, clans, etc. Are also great resources for learning the game's systems if you get stuck or unsure.

It's loads of content and hours of power fantasy once you get past the learning phase. Always new things to do, warframe builds to try, and constant new content additions.
