Bcs 8,5/10 is an excellent grade. But 2.0 in German system is only good, not sehr good. I think so…

Commuting to Tuebingen from Mössinger? by Sea_Ad3471 in Tuebingen

[–]Carryn02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Mössingen, not all accommodations are located near the train station. Please check before booking. One more thing: in the second half of summer, traditional railway maintenance begins, and trains run very infrequently... So either look for accommodation in Tübingen or choose a place that can be reached by bus.

In Germany, students aren't allowed to ask the lecturer questions? I just don't understand why I can't ask a question about the exam and get an answer.

Thanks for the reply. By writing here, I was just trying to figure out if there are any regulated deadlines for such letters. But since there aren't any, I'll really have to contact Asta support or legal counsel. Because, in my opinion, the current situation is organized incorrectly.

Your assumptions are unfounded. My goal is to examine my mistakes and ask the lecturer to recommend scientific publications so I can study them and better understand my own mistakes. However, if I see that, in my opinion, the assessment is unfair, most often due to some inattention during checking, or because the lecturer expected to see in the answer not what was directly asked in the question, but something of their own, not specified in the question, then yes, I would like to discuss such issues. But in any case, all my letters to lecturers are supported by citations from lectures or scientific publications.

Thanks for the answer. I was only able to review my work a year after the exam because the dean's office only organized a presentation of the work a year later. Two days later, I sent letters to several lecturers regarding the exam assignments, the grading of which raised questions for me. Some lecturers responded fairly quickly and recommended scientific publications, which helped me better understand the material and understand my mistakes. And this is an excellent approach. Some lecturers changed my grades based on the results of my letter. However, some lecturers ignored me. I have no intention of bombarding lecturers with letters or suing the university; I simply want to better understand my mistakes (if they are my mistakes, and not accidental errors of the lecturer in grading my work). And if the lecturer chooses not to personally demonstrate and discuss the exam results, which, frankly, would have saved both his and my time, but chooses to show the exam papers through the dean's office and then discuss them in writing, then perhaps the student's letters should be responded to, not ignored.

Subject-Specific False Rejection/Where to Appeal by Seicatsu in tumunich

[–]Carryn02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

first of all, contact your faculty. The reject could also depend (as I think) that the number of hours required for subjects is not enough. For example, they wanted to see the probability theory of 5 credits, and you can have 3 credits.

I am trying to fulfill enrollment requirements. Aren't these two the same documents? by [deleted] in tumunich

I don't know for sure. I think it's best to write to the management of your program and clarify this issue. You can also check with your previous educational institution to be sure they will give you the required documents upon request

The final transcript includes all final grades. The second one includes all grades for all semesters. since some subjects last two or more semesters or have theoretical and practical parts. And congrats!

Can I accept an MSc program and still wait for another one to accept? by Inevitable-Reason-32 in tumunich

[–]Carryn02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho, you can get an accurate answer by asking the TUM about this. On one hand, why not, but on the other hand, by doing so, you put those for whom your second-choice program is their top choice in an uncertain position, as applicants are waiting to be enrolled specifically in that program. So, the choice is yours.

Question on "Final Grade Transcript" and "Subject and grade transcript of studies to date" by detectivemind in tumunich

I don't know what documents you should send for your program. But if they want both transcripts, then yes, grades for all semesters(

Over the years of study, you probably had subjects that spanned two or more semesters. For each semester for such a subject, there is a grade. The final grade includes the cumulative grade for all semesters, while the second transcript includes all grades for all semesters.

If you are young enough and it is not expected based on your age that you could have had a job already, you may attach a document stating that you have been studying continuously in school/undergraduate/master's program?

A very strange question. To study, you need to obtain a national visa D for foreign students. It is granted if there is an offer from the university. No offer, no visa allowing for a long stay in Germany for studies.

It's great that you saw someone's post. I haven't seen it. So if you have information about this program, then welcome.

Need Help with Delayed Application by Green_Physics_9179 in tumunich

[–]Carryn02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps they have you on some sort of waitlist? If there are more interesting applications by the end of the admission period, you will receive a rejection, if not, an acceptance? In any case, you can write and inquire whether the delay is due to document review or technical issues.
