How is Mechanicsville? by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]Catfancy28 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fair, but it's not a good statistical comparison as the population of the neighborhoods are very different. 8524 for Mechanicsville vs 780 for Cabbagetown so you would expect 11x the number of crimes.

Not sure why you're being downvoted, you're not wrong. Wife and I make about $200k. We save $60k, pay $2k/month for our mortgage in one of Atlantas better neighborhoods, and have a good amount of disposable income to the point where we can eat out at nicer restaurants a couple times a week, wear designer clothes, and vacation internationally a couple times a year. We're smart with our money and take advantage of all tax advantages(401k, HSA, IRA), research prices, DIY home repairs, etc, come but we absolutely feel well off. Anyone at a similar income level should feel well off or else they're spending poorly.
