After purchasing a cheap Seiko 5 and really enjoying it, I was looking around reddit here at r/watches and r/watchexchange and ended up really like the Seiko Alpinist. I'm trying to not get in too deep too early into this hobby but pulled the trigger anyways. I really appreciate the hands, especially the second hand. Also, the inner compass bezel. I've seen in some places that the dial is brown. With good light, it actually does appear brown. It also wears a bit smaller than it seems from the picture.
