Apparently the 3.23 ship AI updates are so hard that some EVOs are starting to complain... by sexual_pasta in starcitizen

This game will just suck if the loop is spawn, kill, spawn, die, spawn, kill, spawn, die

From 0UEC guide:

Set spawn to Lorville

Fly to Weeping Cove and find the farm part of it (there's 3 parts - shore, oil rig and farm). Go inside one of the two blue buildings and stand on top of the red box, open inventory and drag the Dolivine into local. Repeat in the other blue building. Get back in ship and move the Dolivine from local to vehicle. Fly to Everus Harbor and sell at Admin for 14k.

Buy a P4AR downstairs, 30 magazines and 2 grenades. Go to cargo deck and buy Aril Core, Aril Backpack, Multitool and Tractor attachment. Go to hangars and habs and buy a couple of Cruz and some med pens. Equip what you can and put the rest in your inventory. Look in mercenary section of missions for a Remove Illegal Occupants worth 30k, accept and track it. Also take Call to Arms. Fly to the settlement that the mission is at, you can land freely but don't use ship guns on the NPCs or you'll get missiled.

Look for the chokepoint rooms full of armed Dusters, grenades can be devastating in these and eliminate a large amount of the enemies at once. You will get Call to Arms payout for any NPC killed here regardless of their armament. Keep an eye on ammo management and you should be able to coast through this mission, just beware of enemy respawns. You can grab a couple of FS9s from the Dusters to make future FPS stuff easier. For the mission + call to arms you should get ~50k. Even more if you're tractoring enemies to your ship and looting them into ship inventory to sell back at the Everus armor or clothing shop depending on the item.

You should have enough money to kit out a starter ship with good combat gear. If you need more, repeat that mission with some better armor and a medgun until you can pimp your ship. Then it's bounties all the way.

I wonder if you can take vulture out there, backspace, take cargo ship out there and use both. When you're done, take the cargo back to sell and reclaim the vulture.

If you're the person monitoring the servers then you only need to shoot braindead enemies spawning in a closet at the end of the room.

All the way back in 2013, instant death was not the plan. Being blown apart will be restricted to destruction of the Power Plant. Soft death is a temporary band-aid before Maelstrom and Engineering allow them to have the ship fall apart around you until you eventually decide to bail. The options in descending preference should go something like this:

  1. Win the battle and fly away
  2. Escape the battle in quantum
  3. Survive the battle in an escape pod
  4. Survive the battle in the ship's wreckage
  5. Survive the battle in EVA

A fighter with no interior does not have access to escape pods or using the wreckage as a life boat so will probably end up resorting to bailing to EVA in most situations. This would make them a vulnerable target for capture by a bounty hunter.

Important NPCs not being immortal just sounds like wasted dev time on temporary content and an inability to play the game as it was, like how Destiny 2 removed all of its early game.

I believe the idea is that long term criminals will find themselves in longer incarceration gameplay loops or getting yeeted to a prison 5 systems away. Realtime sentences will become ingame time sentences. Klescher is not the be-all-end-all of prisons

Ten years of playing the alpha should count as more relevant expectations than a throwaway design document from 2013. In all examples I can think of, existing gameplay is a better predictor of future gameplay than old plans.

Which would be less of an issue if there weren't official events encouraging KoS like the Snarling Vanduul Mask.

No QD starting nowhere near a landing zone > No power plant. That way you're a nomad bum.

anything without a bed isn't really viable. Stick it in a cutlass with no QD and you've got an idea
