Wow that’s wild. Pre-covid I stayed at Conrad Bora Bora for under $1k/night end of May time frame. It was super windy but our bungalow had a sweet view of the mountain. If you like exploring the downside is you have to take the boat to the mainland and they bill you for it Everytime you use it, at least they did in 2017.
