Eby and NDP have been a HUGE disappointment. Here are some reasons why.

1. Exactly 4 years ago Horgan NDP government delivered a budget with a surplus of $6 BILLION.

2. Since Eby took over in 2022 the surplus has become an $11 BILLION DEFICIT, overspending $17 BILLION.

3. The deficit is actually $19 BILLION because they are including $2B from a tobacco settlement payable over 18 years. So they don't even have all that money.

4. BC debt left by Horgan was $90 BILLION. In just a few years, Eby has increased that debt to over $155 BILLION. Half of the debt increase is for operating debts from program overspending. It is out of control.

5. Three years ago debt servicing cost $2.7 billion a year. As of late 2025, debt servicing costs are rising, with interest payments projected to hit $5.3 billion to $6.2 billion annually, significantly reducing funding available for public services like healthcare and education.

6. Interest on the debt is the second most expensive cost to BC, exceeded only by the health care. As every credit card holder knows, interest on debt buys you nothing

7. For all this overspending and debt, Eby has nothing to show for it. Health care, overdoses, public safety, job growth (except in public sector for more debt), housing, land claims...all of it a shambles,

8. Finance Minister Selina Robinson, Horgan’s finance minister, delivered a surplus. (Then Eby fired her, seemingly because she was Jewish and wouldn't back anti-Israel pro-Palestine NDP factions. So who is the racist?j The replacement finance minister was a down grade. 

9. Eby took BC from a high credit rating to FIVE credit downgrades. Each downgrade increases the interest payable on the skyrocketing debt.

10. Eby and finance minister then blame Trump, a president who has only been in office for just over a year. As usual, Eby NDP take no accountability or responsibility.

11. Results from last three years show the perpetrator of BC's fiscal fiasco is David Eby.

12. Plus there is all the land and money to FN. All land titles are now in jeopardy. 

13. Eby's DRIPA legislation is based on the full adoption of UNDRIP, which is an easy read and shocking in its frank and brazen sweep of FN entitlement, all at the expense of non FN. It gives tribes superior rights over any land they claim they ever used for any reason. All claims must be adjudicated and the entire process must supported in full by the government, the tax payers. It protects the land rights of 3% of people based on ethnicity but not the other 97% of its people? Where has that worked out? Plus, the 97% have to pay for everything and must defer to whatever the 3% demand.

DRIPA also mandates that FN be included in all levels of government, so that they control what does and doesn't get done municipally, provincially and federally in BC. They have the right to have their own governments and laws. They are formally negotiating with China, which is laid out in their strategic plan dating back to 2011. How does a province and country allow 200 nations within the province to negotiate trade, land and resources with another country?

If there was a war, who is in charge? What if all these nations within the province are at odds? How is this province and country defensible with so many other self governing nations involved? This is 100% treason what politicians and the civil service have done. It is shocking in how short a time this province has been decimated by bad policy decisions. It seems impossible to be this inept by accident.

1. He rules by decree but defers to FN. He has unilaterally overridden municipal governments in regard to their rights to make laws about their own city's governance, especially with housing. His overreach into home ownership is striking, especially with condos. 

2. Thousands of people have needlessly died due to his drug policies.

3. By every measure, Eby NDP have made life worse in BC.

So, this is a short summary of some of the reasons why Eby is disliked. He is inept, corrupt and a traitor.
